About
Elianna Kruskal (they/he) is a lighting designer and programmer originally from Newton, MA. Currently based in New York City, they are a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where they received a BFA in Theatre Design and Production, and a BA in Social Theory and Practice.
Having done theatre and dance since age 4, Elianna can’t imagine life without it. Working in this field combines his strong passion for both storytelling and collaboration. Additionally, he relishes the artistic process of using light to paint on the dark canvas of a stage, and believes in the power of light to reflect our humanity back at us in new ways.
Key to Elianna’s artistic practice are his deeply held values of active participation in community, staying curious, uplifting nuance, and always fighting for our collective liberation. Finally, Elianna fervently identifies as a life-long learner.
In their spare time, Elianna loves to play board games, try new kinds of seltzer, and read books with his family book club.
